Liberals do all the worthwhile things.
If you listen to conservatives, “liberal” is a derogatory term. Instead of hate, lies and ignorance, consider: Liberal colonialists established the United States of America. Conservatives were loyal to England. Liberals wrote our most sacred documents; the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and seventeen constitutional amendments. Liberals guaranteed separation of church and state, the right to a trial, and the right to bear arms. Liberals ended slavery, founded public education, and got women the right to vote. Liberals championed women’s rights, civil rights and equal rights. Liberals brought about the 5-day workweek, unemployment insurance, worker safety, and paid time off for vacations, sickness, and maternity. Liberals ended the tragedy of child labor, spousal abuse, unfair labor practices, and discrimination by age, color, creed, or nationality. Liberals ended the vice of corporate monopolies, bridled the greed of corporate trusts, and set laws to stop investment cheating. Liberals brought us FIDC banking insurance, Social Security and Medicare and while they too need reform, are the best policies ever to set into law by free peoples.
